Thirunalaippovar Gurupoojai

Thirunalaippovar (Nandhanar) gurupoojai was celebrated at Meladhanur (near Mayiladuthurai) on 25.9.2013. Abishekam and aradhanai were conducted for Sivalinga thirumeni, Umai ammai, Nayanar and other deities. Sixty students participated in the Thirumurai competition. Mayiladuthurai Thiru Dakshnamoorthy provided food for more than 200 people.

Some special features:
(i) Thirty Sivanadiyar thirukoota devotees of Thiruverumbur participated.
(ii) School Teacher Samidurai of Meladhanurhad trained students on Gurugnanasambandhar verses.
(iii) Jandai Melam was performed through the efforts of Praveen Kumar.
